What is 1% For The Planet and why are we excited?
Started by Patagonia founder, Yvon Chouinard, 1% For The Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals & nonprofit organisations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues.
1% For The Planet works as a platform that connects businesses and individuals looking to support charities. With a particular focus on environmental issues, the platform seeks to amplify environmental philanthropy, which is currently sorely underrepresented in giving circles.
Founded on the idea that “you can always give more, but you should never give less than 1%”, the platform encourages corporate responsibility, certifies reputable giving and provides accountability.

It’s not just us saying this! Researchers from all around the world agree that improving access to ‘quality education’ for girls is ‘one of the most powerful yet underused strategies' to tackle climate change.
Through our education and training programs for girls and community engagement activities, we are working towards a climate-just and gender-equal world where every girl can:
